Third meets fourth as Chelsea welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon in arguably the stand out fixture from the final round of Premier League games in 2013.

The hosts moved up to third place after edging past Swansea City on Boxing Day, and will rise a further place should they win and Arsenal lose at Newcastle United earlier in the day.

Ramires will miss the game after picking up his fifth booking of the season last time out, while Cesar Azpilicueta is expected to be recalled in place of Ashley Cole as manager Jose Mourinho continues to rotate his squad.

Fernando Torres, who may also return to the Blues startng XI, is widely available at 8.0 (7/1) to open the scoring with Frank Lampard a 10.0 (9/1) shot with Ladbrokes.

The home win is priced at 2.25 (5/4) with Paddy Power, with Liverpool a 3.6 (13/5) shot with Coral, while Stan James offer the same price for the draw.

Liverpool slipped from first to fourth on Boxing Day after losing to Manchester City, but can move above Chelsea into third if they take all three points, while they would also go ahead of Arsenal if they lose at St James’ Park.

Jon Flanagan is again doubtful for the Reds, while Daniel Sturridge, Steven Gerrard, Jose Enrique and Sebastien Coates are all definitely out.

Top scorer Luis Suarez is unsurprisingly favourite to get the first goal of the game at the widely available price of 6.0 (5/1), ahead of Raheem Sterling, who is generously priced at 15.0 (14/1) with a variety of firms.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 1-1 last November, with the return match at Anfield finishing 2-2 in April, in a game more remembered for Luis Suarez’s bite on Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic – an incident that saw the Uruguay striker retrospectively banned for ten matches.

Both teams have scored in five of the last six meetings between the sides, and you can back them to do so again at a market leading price of 1.6 (3/5) with Ladbrokes.

Alternatively, with Liverpool scoring first in eight of their last ten games, you may want to take advantage of the widely available offer of 2.25 (5/4) for that to be the outcome here.
