The Chelsea camp has been devastated by the news that Frank Lampard has suffered a new injury in training, just a couple of weeks after finally returning to the side following the lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The Daily Mail reveals Lampard’s injury will be reassessed later today with everybody at the club hoping this will prove to be just a minor scare.

The influential midfielder had already missed four months this season with a hernia problem and an abductor muscle injury.

Lampard has started last six games for Chelsea, helping the Blues finally return to form, but he remains a doubt for Monday’s clash with Bolton.

With the Blues currently sitting seven games adrift of Manchester United, it is little wonder Intertops.com pays 7.50 (13/2) on Chelsea to lift the Premiership title, while United remain the favourites at 1.80 (4/5).
