Arsenal will have had to wait another three days to try and record their fourth victory on the bounce after the West Ham clash was postponed, while Newcastle missed an excellent opportunity to get something from Old Trafford after taking the lead on no less than three occasions.

Easy fixture list was one of the reasons why the Gunners managed to revive their top 4 bid with victories over West Brom, Reading and Wigan, but the most important thing is they are now back in business.

Once again, Arsenal scored a wining goal from a dubious penalty, but everything will soon be forgotten if the Gunners continue their excellent run.

Having had three extra days to prepare for their clash, Arsene Wenger’s side are 1.50 (1/2) favourites with Paddy Power to see off Newcastle at the Emirates.

Theo Walcott has finally been granted his wish to play as a centre forward and the England international is 2.38 (11/8) with BetVictor to score his sixth goal of the campaign.

With no fresh selection worries to report, Arsene Wenger could field the same side that recorded a 1-0 win at DW Stadium.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Szczesny – Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs – Arteta, Wilshire – Chamberlain, Cazorla, Podolski – Walcott.

Newcastle United needed a lot of time to get back on track, but once they finally recorded that elusive victory they could have notched up another excellent result.

Following the hard-fought win over QPR, the Magpies arrived at Old Trafford high on spirits, and gave their more illustrious opponents a real run for their money.

Newcastle had taken the lead on three separate occasions, but still could not avoid defeat at the Theatre of Dreams, which must have been very disappointing.

Alan Pardew’s side now need to try and make amends at the Emirates, and they are 2.70 (17/10) with Coral not to lose to Arsenal.

Cheick Tiote returns to the side after serving a one-match ban, but Yohan Cabaye and Hatem Ben Arfa are among those who continue to miss out. Mike Williamson is banned after picking up five yellow cards.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Krul – Simpson, Perch, Coloccini, Santon – Anita, Tiote, Marveaux – Cisse, Ba, Gutierrez.
