Valencia face an uphill task after the 1-0 defeat in the first leg at Camp Nou, but los Che are not prepared to give up without a fight.

Barcelona cannot afford to relax in spite of the hard-fought win a week ago, although they are clearly the odds on favourites to reach the final.

Los Che have been thoroughly impressive in the opening exchanges, climbing to second in the La Liga standings, but their performances have started to fade away of late.

Valencia went on to lose five straight matches in all competitions, and it is clear they are in desperate need of a morale-boosting win.

Narrow defeats to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid could suggest los Che are not too far away from the desired form, but only positive results can help the players recover some of the lost confidence.

There have finally been some good news for head coach Marcelino Garcia Toral as key forward Goncalo Guedes has recovered from injury and he should be fit to play.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo Moreno, Carlos Soler, Francis Coquelin and Martin Montoya should be recalled after they were rested at the weekend.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Domenech – Montoya, Gabriel, Ruben Vezo, Gaya – Soler, Parejo, Coquelin, Kondogbia – Rodrigo, Vietto.

This season started really well for Barcelona, who have so far impressed in all the competitions entered, but they obviously need to continue the rich vein of form.

A substantial advantage over their title rivals allowed Ernesto Valverde to experiment with his starting line-up in the local derby against Espanyol, where the Catalans eventually managed to salvage one point.

This is enough to suggest that the former Athletic Bilbao tactician will field his strongest side at Mestalla, so bear in mind that away win pays 1.60 (3/5) at 888sport.

It has to be noted that Barcelona are unbeaten in last 12 away games vs Valencia, even though eight of those games ended all squared.

The visitors will be without Gerard Pique, who misses out through suspension, meaning that Sergio Busquets may deputise in the heart of defence.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Cillessen – Roberto, Busquets, Umtiti, Alba – Vidal, Paulinho, Rakitic, Iniesta – Messi, Suarez.
