Shkodran-MustafiSpanish giants Valencia have made it clear that star players Shkodran Mustafi and Paco Alcacer will not be leaving the club this summer.

The two footballers were widely expected to quit Mestalla in the summer transfer window as Arsenal and Barcelona are keen on their services respectively.

However, Valencia coach Pako Ayestaran has now suggested that he fully expect both Mustafi and Alcacer to remain at the club.

“Mustafi is not for sale and will not be leaving the club,” Ayestaran told the press after the 4-2 home defeat to Leganes.

The coach has reminded reporters that the club chairman had said the duo was not for sale, and he seems to believe the president will keep her word.

“With Alcacer I can be as firm as with Mustafi, (club president) Lay Hoon already said it.

“The president has said in public that Alcácer and Mustafi are not for sale and I have to believe her”.

Valencia have struggled to keep hold of their star players of late, with Andre Gomes and Sofiane Feghouli both leaving, although they did sign the likes of Nani, Mario Suarez, Martin Montoya and Alvaro Medran.
