Inter vs LazioInter Milan revived their Champions League hopes with successive Serie A wins, but they also need to defeat Lazio to make them count.

The Biancocelesti continued the impressive run of results to climb within a point of second-placed AS Roma, and now hope to pile more misery on the Nerazzurri.

This season had long gone from bad to worse for Inter Milan, but the latest run is enough to suggest they may be close to returning to the right path.

The Nerazzurri have finally managed to raise their form, winning four of last five matches on all fronts, albeit suffering a 3-0 loss to top 3 rivals Napoli.

And having also failed to concede in back to back wins over Genoa and Sassuolo, Inter Milan can now be backed at 2.15 (23/20) to see off Lazio.

Inter have had mixed success in meetings with the Biancocelesti at their Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, winning two of last five matches (D1 L2).

Joso Mario and Felipe Melo miss out through suspension, with Eder and Ever Banega expected to be drafted into the starting line-up.

Jeison Murillo and Cristian Ansaldi have shaken off minor knocks, but Gary Medel continues to miss out through a knee problem.

Probable starting line-up (3-4-2-1): Handanovic – D’Ambrosio, Miranda, Murillo – Candreva, Brozovic, Banega, Ansaldi – Eder, Perisic – Icardi.

Lazio are enjoying another highly successful campaign, but the Biancocelesti cannot afford to relax just yet as they face a relentless fight for top 3 positions.

There are just two points separating the likes of AS Roma, Napoli, Lazio and AC Milan, while Inter Milan and Fiorentina also hope to join the chase.

The good news is that Lazio are on top of their game at the moment, having won four of last five Serie A fixtures to climb to fourth in the overall standings.

The Biancocelesti recovered well from the somewhat underserved derby defeat to AS Roma, as they went on to beat Sampdoria and Fiorentina, and now head into the Inter Milan clash in good spirits.

Simone Inzaghi may decide to rest Felipe Anderson and replace him with Dusan Basta, but there are no fresh worries for the talented tactician.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Marchetti – Bastos, De Vrij, Radu – Basta, Milinkovic-Savic, Biglia, Parolo, Lulic – Immobile, Keita.
