Fiorentina vs VeronaFiorentina will be looking to get their European bid back on track after the heavy defeat to Napoli and they will climb at least one position in the standings if they beat Verona.

The Gialloblu were hammered at home by Inter Milan and now want to ensure they remain at a safe distance from the relegation zone.

Fiorentina headed into the new season with a clear objective of achieving Champions League qualification and everything suggests that will remain just a dream.

With eight games to go, Viola sit eight points behind third-placed AS Roma, and are far from the desired form at the moment.

Vincenzo Montella’s charges missed a glorious opportunity to qualify for the Coppa Italia final as they couldn’t hold on to a one-goal lead from the first leg against Juventus, losing the return match 3-0 at their Artemio Franchi.

Fiorentina did, however, impress in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final clash with Dynamo Kiev, but they could only avoid defeat by scoring in injury time after missing a host of clear-cut chances.

Nevertheless, the players should be in good spirits after a very good performance in Kiev and you should know that home win pays 1.50 (1/2).

First choice goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu is back in contention, but Giuseppe Rossi continues to miss out with a knee problem.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Neto – Tomovic, Rodriguez, Basanta, Pasqual – Aquilani, Badelj, Fernandez – Diamanti, Babacar, Ilicic.

Hellas Verona may be sitting just two places above the relegation zone at the moment, but their season hasn’t been as disappointing as the current league position would suggest.

The Gialloblu have no reason to fear for their Serie A status seeing as they are ten points clear of the bottom three with a game in hand.

On top of that, they are two points behind 12th-placed Sassuolo, so they will definitely try and climb the league standings in the remainder of the season.

Verona did suffer two disappointing results in a row as they first squandered a three-goal lead to share spoils with Cesena before losing 3-0 to Inter at home.

As a result, they head into the Fiorentina clash low on confidence, but both teams to score bet should be considered at 1.80 (4/5).

Attacking midfielder Artur Ionita remains sidelined with an adductor problem, whereas Emil Hallfredsson is doubtful through a muscle injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Rafael – Sala, Moras, Marquez, Pisano – Obbadi, Tachtsidis, Greco – Jankovic, Toni, Gomez.
