Spain vs FranceReigning World and European champions Spain take on Uruguay at Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, with both sides playing their final warm-up game before the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign resumes.

After winning the 2012 European Championship in style, la Furia Roja continued the rich vein of form, beating Puerto Rico and Saudi Arabia in friendlies before seeing off Georgio and Belarus at the start of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

Spain were, however, denied a win in their third group game as France scored deep into injury time to take one point from Vicente Calderon.

Vicente Del Bosque’s side have since recorded a 5-1 win over Panama, but they are now set to face a much tougher task.

Even with several important players missing, la Furia Roja are 1.67 (2/3) favourites with Ladbrokes to win this game.

Fernando Torres and Javi Martinez have both been overlooked, while Iker Casillas misses out through injury.

In-form strikers Michu and Iago Aspas did not make the cut, but Isco and Cesar Azpilicueta have been drafted.

Since the squad was announced, Xavi Hernandez and Xabi Alonso were forced to withdraw, with Mario Suarez being called as a replacement.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Valdes – Ramos, Puyol, Pique, Alba – Cazorla, Busquets, Fabregas – Pedro, Negredo, Silva.

Uruguay, too, enjoyed a lot of success of late, with fourth-place finish at the 2010 World Cup followed by the 2011 Copa America triumph.

Boosted by the impressive results, la Celeste enjoyed a bright start to their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign, taking 11 points from first 5 qualifiers, but things soon started taking the wrong turn.

Oscar Tabarez’s team went on to pick up just one point from next four qualifiers, slipping to fifth place in the overall standings.

Uruguay then defeated Poland away in a November friendly and now hope to deliver another promising display to keep the good atmosphere in the squad.

La Celeste may not be able to beat excellent Spain side, but a team with stars like Cavani, Suarez and Forlan look a good bet to score at least once, at odds of 1.67 (2/3) offered at Coral.

Uruguay arrive in Qatar with their strongest side and chances are they will give their opponents a real run for their money.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Muslera – M. Pereira, Lugano, Godin, Caceres – C. Rodriguez, Gargano, A. Gonzalez, A. Pereira – Cavani, Suarez.
