Ireland vs EnglandRepublic of Ireland and England will square off in an international friendly at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, one week ahead of their respective Euro 2016 qualifiers.

The two sides have enjoyed strong starts to the latest qualifying campaign and will want to keep the good atmosphere in the squad with a positive result on Sunday.

Republic of Ireland were pretty unfortunate to be placed in one of the strongest groups in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, but Martin O’Neill’s side, nonetheless, enjoyed a very good start.

The Irish defeated Georgia and Gibraltar before holding World Cup winners Germany to a 1-1 draw at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen.

However, they have since suffered two slip-ups, losing the high-profile clash with Scotland before sharing spoils with Poland in Dublin.

This means that next week’s game against Scotland is must-win for Martin O’Neill’s charges, and they will want to do well in the friendly with England as well.

Seeing as Roy Hodgson is likely to experiment with his starting line-up, you should know that home win pays 4.00 (3/1).

Hull City defender Paul McShane is unlikely to be risked as he battles a leg problem, but there are no other worries for Martin O’Neill.

Probable starting line-up (4-5-1): Given – Coleman, Wilson, O’Shea, Brady – Walters, Quinn, McCarthy, Hoolahan, McGeady – Long.

Similar to their next door neighbours, England enjoyed a strong start to the Euro 2016 qualifiers, but they also continued with impressive performances.

We can safely say the Three Lions have already secured their place at the finals in France, having won all five matches so far, although with both Switzerland and Slovenia showing signs of improvement, they cannot afford to relax just yet.

England will be facing Slovenia on the road in the last qualifier of the 2014/2015 season, exactly seven days after the friendly against Republic of Ireland.

The match at Aviva Stadium will be a perfect opportunity for in-form strikers Charlie Austin and Jamie Vardy to earn their first caps, seeing as Harry Kane is in the Under-21 squad for the European Championships.

Following the strong finish to the season, Theo Walcott will also be looking to impress Roy Hodgson, so no wonder England have been made 2.10 (11/10) favourites to emerge victorious.

New Everton signing Tom Cleverley has been called to replace Ryan Mason, whilst Fabian Delph should be fit to play after recovering from injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Hart – Clyne, Jagielka, Cahill, Bertrand – Henderson, Wilshere – Walcott, Lallana, Sterling – Rooney.
