Leverkusen vs BayernBayern Munich go into the derby game seven points clear at the top and ten points in front of their next opponents, but the hosts will have to take the game seriously if they want to extend the winning run.

Bayer Leverkusen climbed to third with back to back wins over Hannover and Koln, and they arrive at Alianz Arena hoping to stop mighty Bavarians in their tracks.

Thirteen games into the new campaign and Bayern Munich already look like defending the league trophy with ease, and it only remains to be seen whether Pep Guardiola’s charges can finish the Bundesliga season unbeaten.

The Bavarians have long ago secured the first place in their Champions League group and they were somewhat unfortunate not to defeat Manchester City at Etihad.

Bayern have since returned to winning ways with a narrow triumph over Hertha at Olympiastadion and they are now available at 1.30 (3/10) to defeat Bayer Leverkusen at Alianz Arena.

The Bavarians have won all nine home fixtures this term, scoring 27 goals and conceding mere two, so there seems to be value in backing them to win to nil at 2.30 (13/10).

Bastian Schweinsteiger has stepped up his recovery with yet another substitute appearance, but he is still not fit enough to start.

Meanwhile, the likes of Philipp Lahm, Pepe Reina, Thiago Alcantara, Tom Starke, David Alaba, Javi Martinez, Claudio Pizarro and Holger Badstuber remain on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Neuer – Rafinha, Boateng, Dante, Bernat – Alonso – Robben, Muller, Gotze, Ribery – Lewandowski.

Bayer Leverkusen have been showing a lot of promise under former Red Bull Salzburg coach Roger Schmidt and they can be perfectly happy with how this season is panning out.

In spite of the unexpected home loss to Monaco, die Werkself top their Champions League group ahead of the final round of fixtures, and they could go through even if they lose to Benfica.

At the same time, Bayer Leverkusen have improved their league position with comfortable wins over Hannover and Koln, climbing to third in the standings.

And having done fairly well on the travels this season, die Werkself are 4.00 (3/1) with bet365 to avoid defeat at Alianz Arena.

With Omer Toprak back to the side after recovering from a knee problem, Tin Jedvaj is expected to switch to the right flank.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Leno – Jedvaj, Toprak, Spahic, Boenisch – Castro, Bender – Bellarabi, Calhanoglu, Son – Kiessling.
