Leverkusen vs DortmundFourth-placed Bayer Leverkusen need to try and defeat their more illustrious opponents in an attempt to ward off challenge from Wolfsburg and clinch the final Champions League berth.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund aim to end the league campaign on a high and prepare for the DFB Pokal final against Bayern Munich.

This has clearly not been the most successful season for Bayer Leverkusen, who were pretty disappointing in Europe while struggling in the Bundesliga as well.

After overcoming an embarrassing 5-0 home loss to Manchester United to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages, die Werkself suffered a 6-1 aggregate defeat to PSG and crashed out of Europe’s elite competition.

The run of eight defeats in nine matches also saw them eliminated from DFB Pokal, with boss Sami Hyypia paying the price for the dismal results.

Bayer have since managed to revive their top 4 hopes, with back to back triumphs over Hertha and Nurnberg ensuring the team remained one point clear of fifth-placed Wolfsburg.

But, with mighty Borussia Dortmund arriving at Bay Arena, it is not surprising home win pays as much as 3.10 (21/10) at Betfred.

Full-back Giulio Donati misses out through suspension, whilst Andres Guardado, Jens Hegeler, Robbie Kruse and Stefan Reinartz are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Leno – Hilbert, Toprak, Spahic, Boenisch – Bender, Can – Brandt, Castro, Son – Kiessling.

Borussia Dortmund seem to have made the most out of this season when we take into account everything that was thrown their way.

The Millionaires gave a very good account of themselves in the Champions League, having narrowly missed out on the semi-finals, while they will be vying bitter rivals Bayern Munich for the DFB Pokal trophy.

Meanwhile, they were unable to mount a serious title challenge in the Bundesliga, but they did cement the second place in the standings of late and even closed the gap behind champions Bayern.

Borussia have won their last five matches in all competitions and with their next opponents not exactly firing on all cylinders, they are 2.30 (13/10) to extend the winning run.

Jurgen Klopp was unfortunate to have left-back Eric Durm pick up a muscle strain, meaning that Kevin Grosskreutz will start on the left side of defence.

Marcel Schmelzer has finally resumed training following a lengthy injury lay-off, but the game at Bay Arena comes too soon for him.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller – Piszczek, Sokratis, Hummels, Grosskreutz – Kirch, Sahin – Jojic, Reus, Mkhitaryan – Lewandowski.
