Tottenham vs BesiktasUnderperforming Tottenham Hotspur will be out to record a morale-boosting victory when they host Besiktas in the second group match after they could only muster a goalless draw at FK Partizan Belgrade.

The Turkish giants were unable to hold on to a lead against Asteras Tripolis, and they will want to get something from White Hart Lane.

While Spurs enjoyed a bright start to the new season, winning first four fixtures in all competitions, they have since suffered a major dip in form that could seriously hurt their ambitions.

Tottenham could only pick up two points from last four Premier League fixtures, although the 1-1 draw at the Emirates can be considered a decent result.

Nevertheless, it is perfectly clear that the team need to show massive improvement if they want to avoid another disappointing season and they will be hoping to start the new good run from the Besiktas game.

And having won 10 of last 12 home fixtures in the Europa League, Spurs are available at 1.62 (5/8) to claim maximum points on Thursday night.

Mauricio Pochettino is again set to make wholesale changes to his starting line-up, with Kyle Walker and Danny Rose set to miss out.

Summer signings Vorm, Fazio, Davies and Stambouli are all expected to start as Tottenham search for the first group win.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Vorm – Naughton, Fazio, Chiriches, Davies – Stambouli, Bentaleb – Lennon, Paulinho, Townsend – Kane.

Despite finishing outside the top 2, Besiktas were given a chance to fight for a place in the Champions League group stages as Fenerbahce were banned from taking part in European competitions.

The Black Eagles did well to win both qualifiers against youthful Feyenoord side before giving a very good account of themselves in the play-off defeat to Arsenal.

Oddly enough, they were then placed in the same group with another side from North London, and they are now 6.00 (5/1) to win at White Hart Lane.

Besiktas were unable to win the opening EL fixture despite taking the lead against Asteras, having conceded a late equalizer, but they had more success on domestic stage.

The Black Eagles climbed to second in the league standings despite scoring just four goals in as many games and they now hope to extend their unbeaten run to six matches.

Forward Mustafa Pektemek is doubtful through injury, but there are no other worries for coach Slaven Bilic, the former West Ham defender.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Zengin – Kurtulus, Franco, Sivok, Koybasi – Kavlak, Hutchinson – Tore, Ozyakup, Sahan – Ba.
