Lille vs EvertonHaving shared spoils with FK Krasnodar and Wolfsburg in the first two matches, Lille will be hoping to record the first victory when they host Everton on Thursday.

The Toffees currently lead the chase in Group H and they could make a giant step towards the knockout stages by winning at Grand Stade Lille Metropole.

After achieving a top 3 finish in French Ligue 1, les Dogues made it to the Champions League qualifying stages, but they were knocked out by FC Porto in the play-offs.

Rene Girard’s charges were then placed in a pretty strong group and they have so far taken two points from as many fixtures.

Meanwhile, Lille started the league campaign brightly, conceding mere one goal in first six fixtures, but they have since suffered a major dip in form.

Les Dogues went on to lose three of last four league matches, even if weekend’s loss to Guingamp was completed undeserved.

As a result, Lille will be aiming to return to the right track against Everton, where they are 2.50 (3/2) to claim maximum points.

There are no fresh selection worries for Rene Girard, but Marvin Martin, Ryan Mendes, Jonathan Delaplace and Marcos Lopes continue to miss out.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Enyeama – Beria, Kjaer, Basa, Sidibe – Mavuba, Balmont – Corchia, Gueye, Rodelin – Origi.

Premier League top 4 race remains a priority for Everton, but Roberto Martinez and his charges are also eager to impress in Europe.

While team’s league form has been quite patchy at the start of the season, the Toffees showed a great deal of quality and character to climb to the top of a very difficult group.

The 4-1 victory over very good Wolfsburg side was a major lift for everyone at the club, while a hard-fought draw in Krasnodar hinted the Toffees could go far in this year’s competition.

And with the team returning to winning ways by hammering Aston Villa, they can be backed at 3.20 (11/5) to defeat Lille on the road.

A huge travelling support will be another reason for the Toffees to impress in the Northern France, while there have been plenty of positives for Roberto Martinez of late.

Ross Barkley, Steven Pienaar, James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman all returned into action at the weekend, although John Stones and Kevin Mirallas remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Howard – Coleman, Jagielka, Alcaraz, Baines – Gibson, Barry – McGeady, Barkley, Pienaar – Eto’o.
