Sunday’s Premier League action kicks off at Old Trafford where Manchester United face Tottenham Hotspur.

Having struggled somewhat in the first four months the season, Louis van Gaal’s men, who beat Newcastle United by three goals to one on Friday, have taken twenty-two points from the last twenty-four available in the Premier League, a run that has seen them fully establish themselves in the race for Champions League qualification.

Many of the United faithful will also believe that they still have a chance of taking the Championship back from Manchester City, though they remain ten points behind leaders Chelsea, and seven behind their neighbours.

Angel Di Maria is an injury concern for the hosts after the Argentina international picked up a pelvic injury in training on Christmas Eve, while there is also a question mark over the fitness of fellow midfielder Ander Herrera and defender Luke Shaw.

Marouane Fellaini, Marcos Rojo, Tom Thorpe, Daley Blind are definite absentees through injury, while Adnan Januzaj is carrying an illness.

Radamel Falcao and Robin Van Perise can each be backed at 6.5 (11/2) to open the scoring with Bet Victor, with Wayne Rooney a 7.5 (13/2) shot with the same firm.

United are favourites at the widely available price of 2.3 (13/10), with Spurs as highly priced as the 3.3 (23/10) on offer from William Hill. The draw is 3.6 (13/5) with Bet 365.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won their last four games in the row, with three of those victories coming in the league in a run which has seen them move to within two points of the top four.

The North London club have no fresh injury worries following their Boxing Day win at bottom of the table Leicester City so they could well be unchanged.

Harry Kane has scored in each of his last four outings and is 7.0 (6/1) with a variety of firms to get the first goal of the game, ahead of Christian Eriksen who is priced at 12.0 (11/1) with Bet 365.

This clash has seen at least three goals on five of the last six occasions, and Bet Victor offer 1.73 (8/11) for there to be over 2.5 this time around while you can back both teams to score, as they have in each of the last five meetings, at 1.6 (3/5) with Ladbrokes.
