Bojan KrkicStoke City have completed the signing of Spanish forward Bojan Krkic from Barcelona for a reported fee of £3 million.

The former Spain international has inked a four-year deal at the Britannia Stadium to become club’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.

Stoke City had earlier recruited Mame Biram Diouf, Steve Sidwell, Phil Bardsley and Dionatan Teixeira before winning the chase for the 23-year-old footballer.

The Potters boss Mark Hughes was delighted with his recent capture, who is set to join his new teammates at a training camp in Germany.

“Anyone who knows European football will be aware of him as a player and the fact that he sees his future at Stoke City is really exciting and an endorsement of the Club itself.

“He’s desperate to prove himself in the Premier League and we’re pleased to be able to offer him that platform.

“The time he spends with the squad in Germany will help him settle in and will give myself and the coaches the chance to take a good look at him.”

After scoring 10 league goals in his first season as a first team player at Camp Nou, Krkic has failed to develop in the expected way and has spent last three years on loan spells with Roma, Milan and Ajax.

He will be eager to prove his worth in the Premier League and help the Potters achieve another top 10 finish, with Stoke currently 2.75 (7/4) to finish in top 10.
