Frank LampardFulham boss Martin Jol has confirmed his interest in Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, but has admitted he is aware the England international wouldn’t be interested in a move to Craven Cottage.

The veteran midfielder has yet to be offered an extension to the deal that is due to expire in June, and it appears as though he will be leaving the Blues after all.

Martin Jol says he would love to have him at Craven Cottage, but concedes that is not a realistic possibility.

“He is the most productive midfield player in England in the last 30 or 40 years,” the Dutchman said. “Everyone would love to have him. He’s fit and is a good character.

“He will have a smile on his face if he listens to Fulham but I would love to have him. But it’s hypothetical as he will never play for Fulham. I’m not sure he will play for a top-10 team.”

The 34-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to LA Galaxy and he is 1.40 (2/5) with Paddy Power to join an MLS side in the summer.

Lampard is 8.00 (7/1) to sign for Manchester United and 15.00 (14/1) to move to Paris Saint-Germain. The free-scoring midfielder has scored at least 10 goals in ever one of the last 10 Premier League campaigns.
