Wednesday evening’s match at Stamford Bridge sees league leaders Chelsea host Everton.

Jose Mourinho’s extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points by beating Aston Villa by two goals to one on Saturday afternoon while second place Manchester City needed an injury time equaliser to salvage a point from their game at home to Hull City.

With the reigning champions facing a tough trip to Stoke City, the Blues will be confident of widening the gap even more so against a side they have beaten on four of the last five occasions.

Top scorer Diego Costa misses out as he serves the final game of a three-match suspension and Felipe Luis remains an injury doubt though Cesc Fabregas is set to return after missing the last two games with a hamstring problem.

Loic Remy is widely available at 5.0 (4/1) to open the scoring, ahead of 5.5 (11/2) chance Eden Hazard, who grabbed his thirteenth goal of the season with the opener last time out.

Most firms offer 1.33 (1/3) for the home win, with the visitors as highly priced as the 11.0 (10/1) on offer from Bet 365, who have the draw at 5.5 (9/2).

Roberto Martinez’s side extended their unbeaten league run to four games after drawing 0-0 to neighbours Liverpool at the weekend, though they have scored just two goals in that time, and won just once.

Leighton Baines is in a race to be fit in time to feature, though Aiden McGeady is out and the game will probably come too soon for Steven Pienaar, Leon Osman and Tim Howard.

Romelu Lukaku is set to lead the line against his former club and can be backed at 13.0 (12/1) to get the first goal of the game, while Steven Naismith is a 21.0 (20/1) shot with Bet Victor.

In three of Chelsea’s last four wins against Everton, both teams have scored in the game include the 6-3 thriller on Merseyside back in August so you may be tempted to back that outcome this time around at 3.95 (56/19) with 888 Sport.
