The weekend’s Premier League action kicks off at Turf Moor on Saturday lunchtime when Burnley play host to Manchester United.

The newly promoted side have started the campaign with back to back defeats, losing to Chelsea in the opening round of games, then Swansea City five days later.

They also were defeated by Sheffield Wednesday in their League Cup second round clash on Tuesday evening, though such is the nature of the early season table, a win here could see them move in to the top half.

Manager Sean Dyche is set to recall a number of the players who were rested midweek, with Sam Vokes the only injury concern for the home side.

Danny Ings is 10.0 (9/1) to open the scoring with Betfair, with Lukas Jutkiewicz a 12.0 (11/1) chance with a variety of firms.

The home win is widely available at 6.5 (11/2), with United favourites at 1.62 (8/13) with most firms. The draw is priced at 4.2 (16/5) with Bet 365.

Manchester United have gained just a point from their opening two league games under Louis van Gaal, and also crashed out of the League Cup on Tuesday, when they were humiliated by League One side MK Dons.

The visitors could hand a debut to record signing Angel Di Maria, who completed his £59.7m move from Real Madrid in the week though his international teammate Marcos Rojo is still awaiting clearance in a work permit so will have to wait to make his bow.

Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney are the joint favourites to get the first goal of the game, with each priced at 5.0 (4/1) with Paddy Power.

Robbie Blake’s goal was enough to secure all three points for the Clarets in August 2009, while United won the return fixture at Old Trafford five months later by three goals to nil.

Despite the convincing nature of that victory for the then Champions, the score was 0-0 at half time, and that outcome this time is priced at 3.0 (2/1) with William Hill, while Bet Victor offer 1.95 (19/20) for there to be under three goals in the game.
