Aaron RamseyArsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is doubtful for the weekend’s clash against Manchester City after twisting his ankle while playing for Wales.

The Dragons came from a goal down to defeat Andorra at an artificial pitch that was of very poor quality, with the Gunners starlet injuring his ankle late in the game.

Wales boss Chris Coleman confirmed the injury, but hinted that Ramsey could recover in time to face Manchester City, where Arsenal are 2.90 (19/10) to claim maximum points.

“He got a kick and there was a twist in his ankle,” said Wales boss Chris Coleman.

“Hopefully he’ll be OK for Arsenal (at home to Manchester City) at the weekend but we’ll have to see what the next 24 to 48 hours hold.”

Aaron Ramsey enjoyed a bright start to the new Premier League campaign, scoring three goals in five appearances, albeit receiving a red card in the Champions League play-off against Besiktas.

He struggled for form in the Wales’ qualifier against Andorra, but the poor playing surface probably played a part.
