Sunday afternoon’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Brammal Lane sees League One strugglers Sheffield United host a Fulham side with their own problems in the Premier League.

United have lost just two of their last eight league games, but remain above the relegation zone of the third tier only on goal difference, though they do have two games in hand.

Goals from Scottish duo Jamie Murphy and Ryan Flynn secured a 2-1 win for the Blades over Aston Villa in the third round earlier this month, and another victory here would see them make the fifth round for the first time in five seasons.

Nigel Clough will be unable to call on Billy Paynter, Elliot Whitehouse and Callum McFadzen who are all ineligible, while Chris Porter and Shaun Miller will battle to partner Jose Baxter upfront.

Baxter, who has four goals in his last eight appearances, is 7.5 (13/2) with a variety of firms to get the first goal of the game ahead of top scorer Harry Maguire, who is generously priced at 36.0 (35/1) with Bet Victor.

Despite being two leagues below their opponents, Nigel Clough’s men are favourites to win the match at 2.75 (7/4) with Bet Victor, with Fulham a 2.8 (9/5) shot with Bet 365, who price the draw at 3.5 (5/2).

Eleven defeats in their last fourteen league matches have seen the Cottagers slip to seventeenth place, just one point above the bottom three.

They needed a replay to get past Norwich City, winning 3-0 at Craven Cottage after drawing 1-1 at Carrow Road ten days beforehand.

Fernando Amorebieta is manager Rene Meulensteen’s only major injury worry, though he remains likely to make changes to his side, with Aaron Hughes, Elsad Zverotic and Lasse Vigen Christensen pushing for starts.

Darren Bent is favourite to open the scoring at 7.0 (6/1) with Bet Victor, with Clint Dempsey a 9.5 (17/2) chance with the same firm.

Sheffield United have never lost to Fulham in this competition, winning four and drawing one of their five meetings so far.

Despite their lack inability to win, Fulham have only failed to score in two of their last eleven games, so you may be tempted to back the home win with both teams scoring at 5.0 (4/1) with a number of bookmakers.
