Juventus are reportedly one of a number of Serie A sides plotting a move for Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic, according to reports.

Corriere dello Sport suggest that the Italian giants, alongside Inter and AC Milan, are interested in swooping for the 31-year-old on a free transfer potentially as early as January.

His contract at Old Trafford is set to run until the summer of 2020 but he has fallen down the pecking order in Manchester and has only been afforded one Premier League start so far throughout the 2019/20 season. There is an option to extend his current deal by a further year but that may be unlikely considering his lack of action.

Matic, a £40m signing from Premier League rivals Chelsea back in 2017, has made 89 appearances for the Red Devils and scored three goals.

Should he complete his move to Italy in January, he would follow former teammates Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez who both signed for Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, the latter agreeing a loan deal until the end of the current campaign.

Meanwhile, Matic’s current club Manchester United get their UEFA Europa League campaign underway on Wednesday evening against FC Astana. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s troops are as low as 2/13 with William Hill to win the match and at 18/1 to lose.
