Willian injuryBrazil midfielder Willian is rated doubtful for the World Cup semi-final match against Germany after suffering an injury in training.

The Chelsea star picked up a back injury in Saturday’s training session and subsequently missed the remainder of the training session.

Willian is now an injury doubt for the all-important clash against Germany, creating additional headaches for boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.

The highly rated midfielder was expected to deputize for star forward Neymar, who is out with a spine injury, but his place in the starting line-up is now in danger.

Meanwhile, Brazil have launched an appeal to challenge Thiago Silva’s suspension, but the captain looks he will miss the Germany game as well.

In the view of the latest selection problems, the odds on home win have drifted to 2.88 (17/9), while Germany are 2.90 (19/10) to win in regular time.
