Manchester City have reached an agreement with La Liga outfit Villarreal over the summer transfer of Turkish striker Enes Unal.

The free-scoring forward is coming off from a fantastic season on loan at FC Twente where he bagged 18 goals in 32 Eredivisie appearances.

The 20-year-old striker added another goal in the KNVB Beker Cup and he most recently admitted he would not be returning to parent club next term as he still does not qualify for the UK work permit.

Villarreal have been locked in negotiations with Manchester City for a past couple of days with Yellow Submarine attempting and managing to secure a permanent deal for the talented teenager ultimately.

Valencia were also in the race for Enes Unal, but Los Che were offering a loan deal with an option to buy for €40 million, which was rejected in the end as the player himself agreed to move to Villarreal.

Turkish branch of beIN Sport reports that Unal’s transfer to Villarreal is worth €14 million, with €11 as the fixed payment and additional €3 million in performance-related bonuses.

Manchester City have also made sure to include a buy-back option for the talented player believed to be set to around €25 million.

In addition to Villarreal and Valencia, Serie A hot-shots Lazio and Ligue 1 outfit Lille have been in contact with Manchester City over the potential deal for Enes Unal.
