Manchester City vs RomaAfter suffering a last-gasp defeat to Bayern Munich, Manchester City need to try and defeat Roma at the Etihad or else they will be in problems.

The Giallorossi hammered CSKA Moscow 5-1 on their return to the Champions League, but the match against Premier League holders will be the first real test for Rudi Garcia’s men.

Manchester City may have won two of last three Premiership trophies, but the Arab owners are now demanding a Champions League title as well.

Winning the coveted trophy could prove to be a very difficult task considering that the Citizens have never gotten past the first knockout stage.

Club’s Champions League campaign did not start well this term either as they were first placed into a very difficult group before losing the opening clash against Bayern Munich.

But, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side turning on the style on domestic stage, Manchester City are available at 1.70 (7/10) to defeat Roma on Tuesday night.

Joe Hart will be recalled after he was rested at the weekend, while Stevan Jovetic could return having resumed full training.

Meanwhile, Samir Nasri and Fernando remain on the sidelines, while Martin Demichelis is likely to be preferred to Eliaquim Mangala.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Hart – Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Kolarov – Fernandinho, Toure – Navas, Aguero, Silva – Dzeko.

AS Roma returned to Europe’s elite competition after a four-year absence and they were handed a very difficult draw to begin with.

Progressing from the group that also contains Bayern Munich and Manchester City is likely to prove a tough task, but the Giallorossi have plenty of reason for optimism at the moment.

Roma not only defeated CSKA Moscow 5-1 in their opening CL fixture, but they impressed to win five league games in a row, and no doubt the players are high on confidence at the moment.

Even if the Giallorossi lost last five Champions Legaue matches played in England, odds of 5.50 (9/2) offered on away win do look tempting.

Rudi Garcia will have Juan Manuel Iturbe back for the trip to Manchester, but Leandro Castan, Daniele De Rossi and Davide Astori have failed to recover.

Gervinho and Alessandro Florenzi are set to be recalled, while Strootman, Borriello, Ucan and Balzaretti are still out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): De Sanctis – Torosidis, Manolas, Yanga-Mbiwa, Cole – Pjanic, Keita, Nainggolan – Florenzi, Totti, Gervinho.
