juventus-vs-lyonBoasting a four-point advantage over the next opponents, Juventus will be looking to secure progress into the next stage with two games to spare.

With Sevilla also sitting on seven points and set to face Dinamo Zagreb, Lyon will probably need to win in Turin if they want to keep their qualifying chances alive.

Heavily reinforced Juventus appear to be cruising towards what would be their sixth successive league trophy, but the Bianconeri also hope to go all the way in the Champions League.

The Old Lady fell at the final hurdle two years ago as they were beaten by Barcelona in the final, but this year’s campaign is so far going according to the plan.

Juventus were unable to beat Sevilla in their opening fixture, but then went on to record back to back wins over Dinamo Zagreb and Lyon to climb to the top of the standings.

It is important to note that the Bianconeri have yet to concede in this year’s competition, so you can back them at 2.05 (21/20) to defeat Lyon to nil.

Juventus head into the game on the back of a 2-1 triumph over Napoli that saw Claudio Marchisio make another appearance after recovering from injury.

Patrice Evra should be available for selection as well, but Paulo Dybala, Marko Pjaca and Rolando Mandragora are definitely out, while Mario Lemina is banned.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Buffon – Barzagli, Bonucci, Benatia – Cuadrado, Marchisio, Khedira, Pjanic, Evra – Mandzukic, Higuain.

This has been quite a tumultuous season for Lyon, who already has eight defeats this term, just one less than during the entire 2014/2015 campaign.

The busy schedule and injuries to star players definitely played a part, but they cannot be considered an excuse for some largely disappointing results.

Given the shocking results of late, Alexandre Lacazette’s return to the side was considered a major boost and Lyon indeed are playing a lot better with the France international in the side.

Les Gones were quite unfortunate not to get anything from the first match against Juventus, having completely outclassed their more illustrious opponents, and the striker was partly to blame having missed the first-half penalty.

Lacazette somewhat made amends by netting a brace in the 2-1 triumph over Toulouse, taking his Ligue 1 tally to 9 goals in 7 games.

Coach Bruno Genesio will again have to make do without Christoph Jallet and Mathieu Valbuena, with Clement Grenier also expected to miss out.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Lopes – Rafael, N’Koulou, Yanga-Mbiwa, Rybus – Darder, Gonalons, Tolisso – Ghezzal, Lacazette, Fekir.
