Chelsea vs AteticoWith their park-the-bus tactics working like a charm in the first leg, Chelsea are expected to adopt a more positive approach in the second match and try to qualify for the final.

Atletico Madrid may have failed to create an advantage at Vicente Calderon, but they remain in a good position to keep their title-winning dream alive.

While they were somewhat fortunate to eliminate Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals, the Blues have done well to reach the semi-finals of the competition.

However, with the shock defeat to Sunderland seriously disturbing the atmosphere in the squad, the Blues faced a very difficult task in the first leg against Atletico Madrid.

Jose Mourinho’s charges, nevertheless, produced a great defensive display to hold los Colchoneros to a goalless draw, making sure the tie is decided at their Stamford Bridge.

And while the Portuguese manager hinted he would sacrifice the league clash against Premier League leaders Liverpool, another ultra-defensive approach produced excellent results as the Blues revived their title ambitions with a 2-0 triumph at Anfield.

Given that Chelsea players are now brimming with confidence, it is hardly surprising home win pays 2.30 (13/10) at Betfred.

Jose Mourinho has received a major boost as Eden Hazard, John Terry, Samuel Eto’o and Petr Cech have resumed full training.

However, the likes of Frank Lampard, John Obi Mike, Nemanja Matic, Petr Cech and Mohamed Salah are all unavailable.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Cech– Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta – Ramires, Luiz – Willian, Oscar, Hazard – Torres.

Similar to their next opponents, Atletico have heavily relied on their rock-solid back line this season, although other areas of the team have impressed as well.

Los Colchoneros find themselves in a unique situation as they are closing in on the La Liga trophy, while they have a good chance to make it to the Champions League final.

It was really impressive to see how Diego Simeone’s side have coped with the pressure to hold off challenge from Real Madrid and Barcelona in the league, while their European performances also left a little to be desired.

Atletico couldn’t find a way past defence-minded Chelsea in the first leg, but they should get much more opportunities in the second match at Stamford Bridge.

And with Diego Simeone’s team keeping six clean sheets on the bounce, there may be value in backing Atletico to qualify at 1.91 (10/11).

The boss has fully fit squad to choose from for the Chelsea clash, although captain Gabi Fernandez misses out through suspension.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Courtois – Juanfran, Miranda, Godin, Filipe Luis – Garcia, Mario, Tiago, Koke – Diego Costa, Diego Ribas.
