Bayern vs BVBBorussia Dortmund are hoping to frustrate their more illustrious opponents and win their second Champions League title, having won the trophy on their first ever appearance in the final in 1997.

Bayern Munich already have four European Cup titles to their name, but following the unfortunate defeat in last year’s final at Alianz Arena, the Bavarians will be keen on making things right at Wembley.

While Borussia’s domestic domination was ended by none other than their next opponents, the Millionaires have enjoyed by far the best Champions League campaign in recent history.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were defeating Europe’s top sides almost effortlessly, and apart from the narrow escape against Malaga in the quarter-finals they have been impressive throughout.

Dropping out of the Bundesliga title chase proved to be a blessing in disguise as the Millionaires were able to fully focus on their European campaign, which in turn saw them pip Real Madrid to a place in the final at Wembley.

Dortmund are now 3.10 (21/10) underdogs with bet365 to life the coveted title for the second time in club’s history, but they shouldn’t be written off just yet.

While losing to the Bavarians in the DFB Pokal quarter-finals, they played out two 1-1 draws in Bundesliga, meaning the players have reason to hope they can frustrate Bayern one more time.

If that is to happen they will obviously need star striker Robert Lewandowski to be on top of his game, with the Pole 2.90 (19/10) at BetVictor to add to his 10 Champions League goals this season.

Bayern-bound Mario Gotze has been ruled out with a thigh problem, but Mats Hummels should be fit after suffering a sprained ankle against Hoffenheim.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller – Piszczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer – Bender, Kehl – Blaszczykowski, Gundogan, Reus – Lewandowski.

One of the most decorated clubs in Europe have been chasing their fifth European Cup trophy since 2001, and they came incredibly close last term.

Bayern Munich completely outclassed Chelsea in the Champions League final at Alianz Arena, but ended up losing the tie on penalties.

That only made Jupp Heynckes’ side more determined to make things right this season and so far everything has been going according to plan.

While sealing the Bundesliga title with six games to spare, the Bavarians were absolutely amazing in the Champions League, beating mighty Barcelona 7-0 on aggregate to earn their place at Wembley.

Having done so well throughout the season, it is hardly surprising Bayern are 1.80 (4/5) favourites with Paddy Power to win the game in regular time.

Despite scoring just 2 Champions League goals this season, Mario Mandzukic looks set to start as a lone striker and he is 2.25 (5/4) with SkyBet to score at Wembley.

Boss Jupp Heynckes has no fresh injury worries at the moment, although Toni Kroos and Holger Badstuber remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Neuer – Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Alaba – Schweinsteiger, Martinez – Robben, Muller, Ribery – Mandzukic.
