Brown and Lustig out of Juventus clash

Scott BrownCeltic boss Neill Lennon has revealed that captain Scott Brown and defender Mikael Lustig are set to miss the return leg against Juventus.

The Bhoys face a mountain to climb in Turin after suffering a 3-0 defeat in the first leg at Parkhead, and their task has just been made more difficult.

Namely, it has been revealed that both Scott Brown and Mikael Lustig will not be fit for the clash in Turin.

“We’re still waiting to hear about Brown but he will miss the Juventus game and the Scotland double-header,” said Lennon.

The talented manager is, however, hoping Georgios Samaras and Charlie Mulgrew will be fit to face the reigning Serie A champions.

“Lustig is out for another two to three weeks but we’re hoping that Charlie Mulgrew and Giorgos Samaras will be available. Samaras is a big-game player, he’s ready to play now and has been training for a week.”

It may not be realistic to expect Celtic to overturn a three-goal deficit, but bear in mind the Bhoys are 1.83 (5/6) at Sportingbet to score at Juventus Arena.
