Heavily reinforced Bayern Munich start their title chase at their Alianz Arena against Valencia, a team that are likely to vie with Lille for the second place in Group F.

The German giants missed a glorious opportunity to win the Champions League title, having lost the final to Chelsea on penalties, after completely dominating the game at their Alianz Arena.

The Bavarians seem determined to make things right this term, as witnessed by the heavy summer recruitment and the arrival of players like Javi Martinez, Mario Mandzukic, Dante and Xherdan Shaqiri.

As a result, Bayern have won every single game this season, and they are now just 1.45 (9/20) with Sportingbet to extend the winning run to six games.

New signing Mario Mandzukic has done really well to compensate for the absence of Mario Gomez, and after scoring three goals in as many league games, the Croat is 2.00 (1/1) at BetVictor to score against Valencia.

Both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are expected to start after missing the weekend win over Mainz through injury, but Mario Gomez remains a long-term worry.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Neuer – Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Badstuber – Luiz Gustavo, Schweinsteiger – Robben, Muller, Ribery – Mandzukic.

Having been placed in a pretty difficult group, Valencia need to start well if they are to progress into the knockout stages, but avoiding defeat at Alianz Arena could prove to be a difficult task.

Los Che, nonetheless, arrive to Germany in confident mood, following the 2-1 triumph over Celta, their first three-pointer this season.

Prior to the weekend’s victory, Valencia had shared spoils with Real Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna, while narrowly losing to Barcelona at Camp Nou.

Los Che travel to Munich without no less than six midfield players, with Canales, Banega, Piatti, Albelda, Gago and Mathieu all sidelined through injury.

Taking this into account, it is little wonder Valencia are as high as 2.80 (9/5) with Bodog to bring at least one point to Mestalla.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Alves – Pereira, Rami, Ruiz, Cissokho – Parejo, A. Costa – Feghouli, Jonas, Guardado – Soldado.
