Arsenal vs Bayern MunichWith the 2-0 defeat at the Emirates the first setback of the season for Bayern Munich, there are no doubts that the Bavarians will want to get revenge on the English side.

And while Arsenal did keep their qualifying hopes alive with said triumph, they will be back in problems should they lose at Allianz Arena.

With Bayern Munich having failed to impress last season, the current campaign became incredibly important for one of world’s most successful clubs, and, once again, the Bavarians did not have a problem splashing out on some worl-class signings.

Fast forward three months and it looks as though the likes of Douglas Costa and Arturo Vidal are just what Pep Guardiola needed to turn his side into a force to be reckoned with.

A 12-match winning run at the start of the new season finally came to an end two weeks ago at the Emirates, but not after the Bavarians missed several very good chances to score.

The weekend’s goalless draw against Eintracht Frankfurt is likely to make Bayern even more determined to defeat Arsenal on Wednesday, so bear in mind that home win pays 1.40 (2/5).

There have been some good news for coach Pep Guardiola as Mehdi Benatia has recovered from injury and Holger Badstuber will soon be available as well.

Arjen Robben is also back to full fitness, but Mario Gotze, Juan Bernat, Sebastian Rode and Franck Ribery continue to miss out.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Neuer – Lahm, Martinez, Boateng, Alaba – Alonso – Robben, Muller, Thiago, Douglas Costa – Lewandowski.

Many believed that Arsenal would crumble under pressure having needed a win to defeat mighty Bayern two weeks ago, but the Gunners rather impressed to inflict the Bavarians with the first defeat of the season.

That was not the only great win for Arsene Wenger’s charges of late as they have been quite impressive on all fronts, albeit very unfortunate to have few more important players sidelined through injury.

And while nobody can blame Wenger for sacrificing the Capital One Cup tie against Sheffield Wednesday, weekend’s win over Swansea is enough to suggest Arsenal are still on top of their game.

Having continued the excellent run in the league, the Gunners desperately need to avoid defeat at Allianz Arena, and they are 3.15 (43/20) to succeed in their quest.

The good news is there are no fresh injury worries for Arsene Wenger, meaning that Joel Campbell should continue at right wing after scoring in his first Premier League appearance this season.

Nevertheless, Theo Walcott, Mikel Arteta, Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere, David Ospina, Tomas Rosicky, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all unavailable.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Cech – Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal – Cazorla, Coquelin – Campbell, Ozil, Sanchez – Giroud.
