Barca vs AtleticoThe all-Spanish tie in Champions League quarter-finals will see reigning La Liga champions Barcelona take on current league leaders Atletico Madrid.

The Catalans will be hoping to create an advantage ahead of the return leg, but defeating their in-form rivals could prove to be a very difficult task.

This season is not exactly going according to plan for Barcelona, although the fact they are still in the race for three major trophies would suggest otherwise.

However, the Catalans have been pretty unconvincing in some games and they will need to work hard in order to turn this campaign into a success.

Tata Martino’s side did step up when it really mattered as they defeated Real Madrid away to remain in the La Liga title chase, but they are still one point behind Atletico Madrid with seven games to go.

Barcelona will be vying the same opponents for a place in the Champions League semi-finals, with the Catalans having been made 1.53 (8/15) favourites to win the first leg.

Gerardo Martino will have Alex Song back from a calf problem, but Pedro could miss out through gastroenteritis.

Captain Carles Puyol is still battling a knee injury, whilst Victor Valdes, Jonathan Dos Santos and Isaac Cuenca are definitely out.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Pinto – Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Alba – Xavi, Busquets, Fabregas – Iniesta, Messi, Neymar.

Atletico Madrid are enjoying a dream season this term and their fans are certainly hoping Diego Simeone’s charges can keep the rich vein of form for at least few more weeks.

Los Colchoneros have been largely impressive in La Liga, climbing to the top of the standings, with El Clasico rivals trailing in their wake.

The team have shown incredible consistency and plenty of character to negotiate some very difficult matches of late, with 2-1 triumph at San Mames the perfect proof.

Atletico will have a chance to take their minds off the league campaign for a while as they battle Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals, and los Colchoneros clearly go into the game in excellent spirits.

And seeing as how they are currently on a six-match winning run in all competitions, you should know away win pays 6.70 (57/10).

Javi Manquillo and Raul Garcia miss out through injury and suspension respectively, but there are no other worries for Diego Simeone.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Courtois – Juanfran, Godin, Miranda, Filipe Luis – Koke, Mario, Gabi, Turan – Diego Costa, Villa.
