Real Madrid vs ValenciaValencia will be hoping to extend their winning run in La Liga to four matches and at the same time get revenge on Real Madrid for midweek’s Copa del Rey defeat.

Los Blancos, on the other hand, will hope to beat los Che for the second time in a row and gain some psychological advantage before the Copa del Rey return leg.

While doing really well in the Champions League, Valencia largely struggled to fulfill their potential in La Liga, so nobody was surprised to see coach Mauricio Pellegrino get the sack.

That proved to be a great decision by club chiefs seeing how new boss Ernesto Valverde helped the players restore the lost confidence, with los Che quickly returning to the right track.

Team’s four-match winning run came to an end with a controversial Copa del Rey defeat at Santiago Bernabeu, but that has made the players even more determined to get revenge on Real Madrid.

With that in mind, there may be some value in odds of 4.50 (7/2) offered at Ladbrokes on home win.

Los Che face some selection problems ahead of the clash with Real, given that Joao Pereira and Dani Parejo are both suspended.

Victor Ruiz misses out through injury, but Ricardo Costa, Diego Alves and Antonio Barragan are all expected to start. Sofiane Feghouli is away on international duty.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-2-1): Alves – Barragan, Costa, Rami, Guardado – Banega, Albelda, A. Costa – Piatti, Jonas – Soldado.

This season is proving to be a major disappointment for Real Madrid, but los Blancos have got to try and get the best out of a bad situation.

Numerous clashes between Jose Mourinho and star players are certainly not helping, while selection problems only add to the worries.

In spite of all the problems, los Blancos managed to win their league clash against Valencia, albeit with a little help from the refs, and they now aim to make it two in a row.

Even if the visitors will be without several important players, they are 1.95 (19/20) with BetVictor to win at Mestalla.

After scoring 5 goals in last 3 matches, Cristiano Ronaldo is 1.62 (5/8) with Sportingbet to score against Valencia as well.

Sergio Ramos and Ricky Kaka miss out through suspension, whereas Pepe and Gonzalo Higuain are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Adan – Arbeloa, Varane, Albiol, Marcelo – Khedira, Xabi Alonso – Callejon, Ozil, Ronaldo – Benzema.
