Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos could make his return to action for Los Blancos in this weekend’s La Liga clash against Cadiz.

The German has missed the last two league matches due to a muscle injury that he sustained against Real Betis. However, according to Diario AS, the 30-year-old is now free for selection following a successful international break.

Kroos, a World Cup winner with his country, was selected in Joachim Low’s most recent international selection, playing the full 90 minutes against Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League.

Having come through that match unscathed, he is now extremely likely to be selected from the start at the weekend as Zinedine Zidane’s men attempt to continue their excellent beginning to the 2020/21 campaign.

Los Blancos have won three out of their opening four league matches, the only dropped points the result of a 0-0 draw against Real Sociedad on the opening weekend.

Kroos’ return will be a huge boost, especially the current injury situation at that Santiago Bernabeu, with the likes of Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz, Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard all restricted to the sidelines.

Kroos currently sits at odds of 10/1 with Betfred to net the opening goal of the game against Cadiz.
