Real Madrid vs Realm SociedadLa Liga leaders Real Madrid will be looking to put extra pressure on their title rivals with a resounding triumph over Real Sociedad at their Bernabeu.

Meanwhile, La Real have finally ended the barren run and they will attempt to put a dent into los Blancos’ title bid.

After winning the historic La Decima last season, Real Madrid seem even more motivated to continue lifting major titles, although one of those has already slipped out of their grasp.

Los Blancos were eliminated in the Last 16 stage of Copa del Rey by their arch rivals Atletico, but the most important thing is their league campaign is going according to plan.

Real Madrid may be just one point clear of Barcelona in the league standings, but they have a game in hand and remain hot favourites to lift the La Liga trophy.

Following the impressive away triumph over local rivals Getafe, los Blancos experienced all sorts of problems when facing Cordoba, but they managed to score the winner after Cristiano Ronaldo had been sent off.

The Portuguese superstar has been handed a two-match ban subsequently, meaning he is set to miss league games against Real Sociedad and Sevilla.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid can still be backed at 1.62 (5/8) for a half-time/full-time win against David Moyes’ charges.

Luka Modric and Pepe miss out through injury, while Asier Illarramendi is expected to start with Sami Khedira dropping to the bench.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Casillas – Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo – Isco, Kroos, Illarramendi, Rodriguez – Benzema, Bale.

This season has been going from bad to worse for Real Sociedad and there has been little improvement shown under new coach David Moyes.

La Real were eliminated from Copa del Rey, while they are already out of contention for European positions, meaning all that’s left is to secure La Liga survival and build a solid platform for the next campaign.

Real Sociedad have largely struggled for form ever since the impressive home win over Barcelona, taking one point from two league matches while losing the Copa del Rey tie against Villarreal.

La Real finally returned to winning ways as they defeated high-flying Eibar at Anoeta, but they obviously face a much tougher task when facing Real Madrid.

Real Sociedad remain the only La Liga side that have yet to record a victory on the road, so they clearly have little to hope for at the moment.

The good news is David Moyes will again have fully fit squad to pick from, with Esteban Granero set to face his former teammates.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Rulli – Aritz Elustondo, M. Gonzalez, I. Martinez, Yuri – Granero, Pardo – Canales, Prieto, Castro – Vela.
