Alvaro Morata is reportedly close to returning to former club Juventus on loan according to various reports.

The Spanish striker, who has since represented Real Madrid, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid in his time away from Turin is apparently set to rejoin the Italian giants on a season-long loan, as per Fabrizio Romano and Deportes Cuatro. He originally played for the club between 2014 and 2016, making 93 appearances and scoring 27 goals.

It is implied that the deal has already been agreed between Atleti and the Old Lady, with Morata set to sign imminently. It comes after reports suggesting that current Barcelona striker Luis Suarez is set to sign for Atletico Madrid on a free transfer from current employers Barcelona.

Since signing for the Spanish giants initially on loan from Chelsea, Morata has fallen down the pecking order at the Wanda Metropolitano. He only made 25 starts in La Liga last season, with fellow Spaniard Diego Costa being fancied more often. In all, Morata has made 61 appearances for Atletico Madrid and scored 22 goals.

Diego Simeone’s men begin their 2020/21 Premier League campaign on Sunday afternoon against Grananda. Los Rojiblancos sit at a price of 1/2 with William Hill to get off to the perfect start with a win.
