Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has made it clear that marquee signing Arda Turan will not be farmed out on loan in the summer transfer window.
The Turkey hotshot joined Barcelona in a big money deal from La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid, but he is not allowed to represent the Catalans before January due to club’s transfer ban.
And while many believed that both Turan and fellow summer signing Aleix Vidal will be farmed out on loan until the winter, coach Luis Enrique clearly wants the duo to stay.
“They cannot play until January and that does not favour us, but I want the new transfers around until then,” Enrique told reporters at a press conference in Los Angeles.
“It is not being contemplated nor will it be contemplated to loan out Arda Turan.”
After winning the second treble of major titles last season, Barcelona will attempt to become the first club to defend the Champions League trophy, and they are 4.33 (10/3) to succeed in their quest.
