Barcelona vs LevanteHaving held their more illustrious opponents to a 1-1 draw in the league just few days ago, Levante will be hoping for another good result as they host Barcelona in the first leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, the Catalans are determined to get revenge on los Granotes for what was a major blow to their title hopes, although Gerardo Martino is expected to make some changes to his starting line-up.

Levante have done brilliantly to establish themselves as genuine mid table side in Spanish La Liga and they even experienced European football last term.

Los Granotes are again exceeding predictions as they sit safely tucked away in the middle of the standings in spite of many tipping them to fight for their lives.

While losing the first match in 2014 to local rivals Valencia, Levante have since recorded a 1-0 aggregate win over Rayo Vallecano to reach the Copa del Rey quarter-finals, while also beating Malaga at home in the league.

And having had lost 7-0 to Barcelona in the opening La Liga fixture, los Granotes had every right to fear the return match against the Catalans, but they instead produced an excellent performance to become the fourth team to stop the Camp Nou outfit from winning this season.

The hosts will be hoping for more of the same when they face the same opposition in Copa del Rey, with Levante 5.00 (4/1) not to lose this match.

Joaquin Caparros will have important attacker David Barral back from suspension, meaning he can choose from a fully fit squad.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Navas – Vyntra, Navarro, Juanfran, Karabelas – Simao, Diop – Lopez, Ivanschitz, Garcia – Barral.

These are some testing times for Barcelona, with the Catalans quickly seeing their five-point advantage over Real Madrid at the top of La Liga melting.

Back to back draws against Atletico Madrid and Levante are certainly a cause for concern, and no doubt Gerardo Martino will be looking for a response from his players.

Oddly enough, the Catalans are set to face Levante away again in just three days, with a Copa del Rey semi-final berth at stake this time.

And even though Tata Martino is likely to use the opportunity to rest some of his starters, Barcelona have been made 1.22 (2/9) favourites to win at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.

Andres Iniesta is expected to return having resumed training after recovering from a knee injury, while Dani Alves is back from suspension.

Meanwhile, Neymar (ankle), Ibrahim Afellay (thigh), Jonathan dos Santos (knee) and Oier (wrist) remain in the infirmary.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Pinto – Alves, Puyol, Bartra, Adriano – Iniesta, Song, Sergi Roberto – Tello, Messi, Fabregas.
