Spanish media outlet Cadena Cope claims that AC Milan wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma is expected to join Real Madrid in June 2018.
The highly rated shot-stopper has another year left on his deal at San Siro and he recently felt the wrath of fans after refusing to sign a new contract.
However, Donnarumma and his agent Mino Raiola now appear ready to discuss a contract extension, but only if AC Milan include a sensible release clause allowing the player to join Real Madrid next summer.
Such an arrangement would allow the Rossoneri to earn some profit on the player’s sale and at the same time count on his services next season.
If Donnarruma refuses to sign a new contract, he is almost certain to be relegated to the youth team, which is hardly a perfect scenario for his suitors Real Madrid.
It remains to be seen whether AC Milan will be prepared to insert such a clause, but one way or another, the youngster looks set to leave in a year’s time.
