Gareth Bale Real MadridReal Madrid winger Gareth Bale has stated that he feels he is in good enough shape to start the high-profile clash against arch rivals Barcelona in La Liga.

Having done little pre-season training and then picked up a thigh strain, the Welshman has been restricted to substitute appearances in matches against Malaga and Juventus.

Bale is, nonetheless, relishing his first El Clasico and believes he is fit enough to start the Barcelona match on Saturday.

“Yeah I am sure it will be an amazing experience, the most important thing is we try to win the game and get the three points and I am looking forward to it just like everyone else is,” Bale told Sky Sports 2.

Questioned whether he was fit enough to start the Barcelona game, Bale replied. “I am not too sure, I have had a few minutes this week and I have had a good week’s training as well so I think I am fit enough and it is up to the manager now whether I play from the start or am on the bench.”

Having closed the gap behind their arch rivals to three points, Real Madrid are 4.33 (10/3) to neutralize the advantage by winning at Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale is no less than 5.00 (4/1) to mark his return with a goal and play himself into the heart of Real Madrid fans.
