Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering a swap deal for Paris Saint Germain star Edinson Cavani in any potential transfer that would see Antoine Griezmann join the Ligue 1 champions.
According to Sport, the Spanish giants are potentially interested in recruiting the Uruguayan star as a replacement for Griezmann, who has already revealed that he will be departing the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano this summer. His next destination is still a mystery but PSG appear to have become the frontrunners. Should that occur, Cavani’s signature may also be part of the deal. It is also suggested that he could also be interested in a switch to Spain.
Cavani has been in the French capital for six years having joined from Serie A outfit Napoli in 2013. In the time since, he has gone on to enjoy great success at the Parc de Princes. The 32-year-old has made 279 appearances for the club, scoring 193 goals and providing 40 assists. He has also lifted plenty of trophies too, having won five Ligue 1 titles, four Coupe de France and five Coupe de la Ligue.
However, his time at the club could come to an end if the deal for Griezmann goes through. The Frenchman is at odds of 9/5 with Paddy Power to complete a switch to PSG before the end of the summer transfer window.
