Spanish outfit Sevilla are reportedly plotting a return for former midfielder Vicente Iborra following an injury to Maxime Gonalons.

The Spaniard is currently with Leicester City having moved to the King Power Stadium in the summer of 2017 for a reported fee of £12m. However, he has found opportunities hard to come by in the East Midlands. The 30-year-old has only made 32 appearances for the club, scoring four goals and providing two assists.

Iborra has only been afforded 113 minutes of Premier League action so far during the 2018/19 campaign, with former employers Sevilla hopeful of striking a deal in January. Marca report that Pablo Machin’s men are interested in a loan deal with the option to make it permanent.

Iborra made 172 appearances in his time with Sevilla and it was an extremely successful period in his career as he lifted three UEFA Europa League titles. He scored 30 goals in his stint at the Estadio Roman Sanchez Pizjuan.

Leicester City take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon as the Premier League returns to action following the international break. Iborra scored at the Amex Stadium last season and can be backed to do that with the first goal with odds of 15/1 with BetVictor.
