Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has said that he is now a better player than when he left Manchester United for Inter Milan two years ago.
Lukaku has returned to Chelsea from Italian champions Inter, with the Blues paying the Serie A club £97.5 million in transfer fee for the Belgium international striker.
In 2014, Chelsea sold the 28-year-old to Everton, who in turn sold him to United in 2017.
Lukaku was a huge success in Italy, scoring goals for fun and helping Inter win Serie A last season.
The Belgian striker scored 24 goals and gave 11 assists in Serie A last season, and scored 23 goals and gave two assists in the league in 2019-20.
Lukaku told BBC Sport: “As a player, it’s about becoming more complete. In Italy, the game is different, there are tighter spaces, it’s more technical and tactical, which helped me a lot.
“I’ve done a full pre-season. For now, I just want to get to know my team-mates better.
“Then, at the end of the day, I’m available for the manager if he wants to play me.”
Lukaku can be backed at 5/1 on Betfair to finish as the top goalscorer in the Premier League this season.
