Rio Ferdinand has said on his YouTube channel that Arsenal should sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has said that Brazilian forward Jesus could leave City in the summer transfer window.

Former Manchester United central defender Ferdinand has said that Arsenal should try to bring Jesus to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.

“At the moment I’m told there’s no talks for Gabriel Jesus because [Inter] can’t bid for €60 or €50 million so we’re just talking about ideas and rumours. But I’m sure that Gabriel Jesus’s situation, alongside of Raheem Sterling’s situation, is something that needs to be clarified in the coming months for Manchester City. They’re both out of contract in 2023,” Romano told Ferdinand’s YouTube channel.

“For Gabriel Jesus, they need to discuss internally and see what they want to do. Because, with a new striker joining Manchester City in the summer, I’m not sure that the position of Gabriel Jesus will be so clear.”

“If I was Arsenal, I would go and buy Gabriel Jesus,” Ferdinand said.

Arsenal are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment and can be backed at 5/6 on Betfair to finish in the top four.
