Chelsea right-back Reece James has expressed his delight at his side’s win against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League this week.

Graham Potter’s Chelsea got the better of defending Serie A champions Milan 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in London in Group E on Wednesday evening.

James was among the goalscorers for the Blues.

The England international told Chelsea’s official website: “We had a slow start to our Champions League group, we knew we needed to turn it around at some point and this was the day.

“Against a great opposition we needed to come away with all three points to give us a better chance to get out of the group.

“It was a vital win that we needed to take. We started very slow in our group and our previous games showed that, so we needed to get off the mark in this game.”

Chelsea will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League.

The Blues can be backed at 8/1 on Betfair to win the match against Wolves 3-0.
