Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has said that his side want to win the Premier League and also finish at the top of their UEFA Champions League table this season.

Salah made the comments after Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Rangers at Anfield in UEFA Champions League Group A on Tuesday evening.

The Egypt international forward found the back of the net in the 53rd minute from the penalty spot.

Liverpool are second in UEFA Champions League Group A at the moment with six points from three matches, three points behind leaders Napoli.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 10 points from seven matches, 11 points behind leaders Arsenal.

Salah told Liverpool’s official website: “It’s a good night. Not perfect but it’s important to win the games at home, especially [as] we have a tough group and we lost the first game. We just need to carry on and try to win the next games.”

The Liverpool boss added: “We just try to focus on each game, we take one game at a time because in the Premier League also we are not in our form.

“We just try to think of each game and be first in the group in the Champions League and also try to win in the Premier League.”

Liverpool will return to action on Sunday when they take on Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League.

The Reds can be backed at 17/2 on Betfair to win the Premier League game 2-1.
