Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard has raved about his teammate Gabriel Martinelli.
Odegaard, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Arsenal from Real Madrid, has said that it is a dream for him to play with someone of Martinelli’s quality.
The 22-year-old Norway international, who joined Arsenal on a permanent contract from Madrid in the summer of 2021, has added what makes Martinelli so special.
Brazilian forward Martinelli, 20, is part of the first-team squad, but the youngster is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup.
Odegaard told Arsenal’s official Twitter account when asked about his favourite Brazilian in the squad: That is a very difficult one, but if I had to say one I would say Gabriel Martinelli, it is always nice to play with him, he’s moving a lot so it’s a dream to play with these sorts of players, they always run and it is easy to give them the ball.”
Arsenal are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 20 points from 11 matches, just two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta’s side will face Liverpool away from home at Anfield on Saturday evening.
