Mark Lawrenson has backed Everton to win against Watford in the Premier League this week.
The Liverpool legend believes that Frank Lampard’s side will get the better of Watford 2-0 away from home at Vicarage Road on Wednesday evening.
Everton are rated at 13/2 on Betfair to win 2-0 against Watford.
The Toffees are 16th in the Premier League table at the moment with 35 points from 34 matches, a point above third-from-bottom Leeds United, who have played 35 games.
Watford have already been relegated to the Championship.
Lawrenson told BBC Sport: “Everton are going for their third win on the spin. If they get it, they would be very close to being sure of staying up – they are playing well anyway, and their application is completely different to how it was earlier in the campaign.
“It’s a good time for them to be playing Watford too. We already know Hornets boss Roy Hodgson is leaving in the summer and it appears many of their players are thinking the same thing.
“Watford have lost their past 11 home games and I’m not sure they will put up much of a fight.”
