Marcus Rashford out until October

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford will reportedly not be in action for the opening weeks of the 2021-22 Premier League season.

It has been reported by PA news agency that Rashford will undergo shoulder surgery later this month.

This means that the 23-year-old England international forward will be out of action for around 12 weeks.

Rashford could be back training within five weeks of surgery, but the youngster will not be in competitive action until October.

The forward made five substitute appearances for England at Euro 2020 this summer, playing a total of 85 minutes.

Rashford made 33 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for United last season.

The English youngster scored 11 goals and gave nine assists in those games.

Rashford made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for United last season, scoring six goals in the process.
