Cristiano Ronaldo makes his return to Old Trafford on Tuesday evening as Juventus face off with Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.

The Portuguese superstar returns to England nine years after his departure for Real Madrid in a match which could go a long way in deciding how the group will play out. Juventus and Manchester United sit first and second in Group H respectively after two matchdays. Consequently, the Bianconeri are favourites to claim the win and can be backed at 11/10 with Paddy Power, whilst a draw is at 23/10. Manchester United have odds of 12/5.

Both teams currently have perfect defensive records in Group H following their first two games. Manchester United recorded a 3-0 win over Young Boys before a 0-0 draw with Valencia at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Juventus beat the Spanish side 2-0 whilst also notching their own 3-0 defeat of Young Boys. Both sides can be backed to continue their excellent European defensive record with a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford with odds of 9/1 with BetVictor.

Juventus’ impressive form in the Champions League has carried over to their league form. Despite dropping their first points of the season in a 1-1 draw against Genoa last time out, the Italians’ had previously scored at least two goals in every one of their games in all competitions this season. They have odds of 6/4 to repeat that feat against the Red Devils.

Jose Mourinho and Max Allegri have quite a few injury worries to concern themselves with ahead of the match at Old Trafford. For the Red Devils,  Alexis Sanchez, Diego Dalot and Marcos Rojo are ruled out of the game. The match is also too soon for the likes of Marouane Fellaini, Scott McTominay and Jesse Lingard. However, Antonio Valencia could make his return to action.

Meanwhile, Leonardo Spinazzola is ruled out due to a cruciate injury and is likely to be joined on the sidelines by former Liverpool man Emre Can who has been struggling with illness. Sami Khedira is also out with a thigh injury.

One man who will be keen to play is former Red Devils forward Cristiano Ronaldo. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored in both of his previous UEFA Champions League games against United and can be backed to open the scoring at 4/1 with Coral. Elsewhere, Anthony Martial is at 9/1 with Betfred to add to his two goals against Chelsea at the weekend with the first goal at Old Trafford.
