Following a winter which brought nothing but disappointment for Leicester City wantaway star Riyad Mahrez, the future of the Algeria international looks rather uncertain.

Mahrez staged a protest by refusing to show up in training after Foxes refused to let him go to Manchester City on the January transfer deadline day and looks determined to leave the club once the season is over.

The 26-year-old will once again push for a move away from King Power Stadium with Liverpool also emerging as a team interested in acquiring his services in the summer.

One thing is certain, the Algeria star will lack no interest and Foxes better start planning for life without Mahrez – which they did according to the latest reports.

British media claim that Leicester City have identified Borussia Monchengladbach star Thorgan Hazard as the ideal replacement for Mahrez, adding that Foxes have joined the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig who are said to be keeping an eye on the brother of Chelsea superstar Eden.

Thorgan’s career began at French side Lens in 2011 but he moved to Chelsea a year later as part of a deal for his brother Eden. Having failed to make the cut with the Blues, Thorgan was initially sent on loan to Zulte Waregem before landing a temporary stint with the Bundesliga side.

The 24-year-old Belgium went on to impress in Germany and earn a permanent deal back in 2015 for £7.2 million.

Hazard scored seven goals and made as many assists in 22 Bundesliga outings this term and stands at 3.80 (14/5) betting odds to get on the scoresheet at the weekend when his Borussia Monchengladbach takes on their namesakes from Dortmund.
